If skirting a fleece makes you think of running to your nearby clothing store, you really need to listen to this spinning podcast. Find out just how you take a five pound raw fleece and get it ready for the wash.
Today's music found on the podsafe music network, is provided by:
MDL with Acoustic Heart
Tom Smith with Stupid Belated Valentine
The next podcast will be a spin-in, with lots of heart related music in honor of the month of February, as well as some yarnspinnerstales. See you then, and thanks for listening.
Skirting is used as a verb in fleece preparation. It is actually in the dictionary as removing the parts of the fleece that are undesirable. Yes, most people have no idea what it means to \\\"skirt\\\" a fleece. It is not a verb used even when one says \\\"I will skirt around the edge of the canyon to find a way down to the interior.\\\" We tend to only use the noun. Enough geek-ness. Thanks for your podcast.
I just found your pod cast (saw it on the Ravelry list) and as a new spinner, I enjoyed it very much. I will look forward to more! and to going back in time to see what else you\\\'ve done.
Thanks! Julie
I\\\'ve just discovered your podcast and want to tell you I love it!! Keep up the great job. I\\\'m looking forward to the rest of your series on types of wool.
