Part 2 of the three part series on dyeing discusses dyeing wool with acid dyes to a specific color. I challenged myself to try and create the color wheels tertiary colors with dyes, and found some failures and successes along the way. Listen in as I talk all about all of that experience.

I have a question about how a roving should feel after it has been dyed. I notice that, not matter how hard I try, my roving feels like and sometimes has the consistancy of foam rubber after it is dyed. I tried less heat, steaming in the oven and all manner of ways of dying in hot water, but the wool does not draft well and just feels rubbery.
What am I doing wrong?
